Marie Phelan is an Irish artist working across digital media, site-based engagement, works on paper and performative action. Her investigations extend beyond physical and material boundaries as a way to consider how we exist in the world today.

Recent works include a land based film screening in Carlow Culture Night 2025. Through performative collaboration she has created site investigations within gallery spaces (2023 - 2024). She has held land-based sonic activations at various sites across Ireland (2020 - 2023). Her work has also been exhibited in traditional gallery settings.

Marie was awarded the Digital Practice Award by Fire Station Artist Studios, Dublin in 2023. Her work has been supported by the Arts Council Ireland, and Carlow Arts Service. She holds an MA in Art and Research Collaboration through IADT.
